Hello and Welcome!

My name is Mary Harker and I am the on-site Deaf and Hard of Hearing Specialist for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing program at Forest Hills Global Elementary School. Within our program, I provide specialized support to our elementary students with hearing loss. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in December 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Professions in Deafness and a license for Birth-12th grade Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Following graduation, I moved from Greensboro, NC to Wilmington where I began my career working in Onslow County Schools. At the end of the 2016 school year, I transferred to New Hanover County where I have been working ever since!
