In the visual arts classroom students will explore all media, including crayons, markers, paint, paper mache', clay, and textiles. Students will improve fine motor skills plus build cognitive and creative skill sets which will allow them to develop into confident and well rounded individuals. I practice ARTS INTEGRATION. This is an approach to teaching in which students construct and demonstrate understanding through an art form. Students engage in a creative process which connects an art form and another core subject area, and meets evolving objectives in both.

A student may be in danger of receiving a grade of N or U for the following reasons: lack of participation, not following class rules, class disruptions, lack of progress.
Remember: There is no "right or wrong" in art. However, a student may choose to not follow directions and produce an undesirable outcome with his/her art.
