Laney Lift-a-thon Weightlifting Fund Raiser through May

posted Apr 22, 2017, 5:59 PM by Jeffrey Jones   [ updated Apr 22, 2017, 6:00 PM ]

>>> Click here for the 'event' Website <<<

Every May, we have a Laney 'Lift-a-thon' competition to raise funds for weight lifting equipment in the body conditioning/weight training classroom.  This year our GOAL is a huge one that we can only reach with your help!  We are asking the community and our Buctown Family to partner with us, supporting our efforts in raising funds specifically for 9 new power lifting racks.  The cost of each rack is $2,000.00.

*PLEASE NOTE: The effort to raise funds for new lifting racks in the 'weight room/classroom' benefits the ENTIRE Laney High School Student Body, and is not limited to student athletes, or a specific sport team

Strength training and conditioning is the foundation our young athletes need to have success on their field of play, as well as the building block for a strong body and mind of every student. The equipment used can make all the difference in training.

Our current equipment is very worn and outdated.  We received weight racks 12 years ago, USED, from a middle school.   New equipment will greatly benefit efficiency in workouts, allow us to focus on working a greater variety of muscle groups, as well as meet the needs of our students and athletes.  Additionally, it will enhance the weight room asthetically, providing a space our students would love to use!

As a sponsor, your  name will be proudly listed on a dedication plaque in the weight room facility.  For a business, this is great advertising (leave name of business in the 'message' field on donation page), and for individual contributors, a way we can show our  appreciation for your support!

Any $ amount in contribution is greatly appreciated! Thank you so much for making a difference for our students and showing your support for Laney High School!
