"I hope that you will consider donating! Did you know that one automobile accident could require up to 50 pints of blood?
These pints are used for so many things, including some cancers, organ transplants, heart disease, and for the premature babies in the neonatal intensive care unit.
North Carolina is in a critical low due to Hurricane Matthew. If you would like to donate please email me or stop by room 123 anytime."
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time and bring your picture I.D. or blood donor card.
16 year old donors must have a signed American Red Cross Parental Consent form.
Ms. Ward reported on December 1st's blood drive...161 Units of blood donated in Dec. 1st Blood Drive
"I just wanted to say a BIG thank you, to all who donated and allowed your students to come down for their blood donation, this is a big project for these Honor Health Science 2 students and they get so excited about it. They love wearing their scrubs and putting to use some of the skills and knowledge they have gained from Health Science 1 and 2. Our goal for this drive was 120 units, but we well exceeded that goal and had a finish with 161 units of blood!!! Amazingly, we could have done more but we were time restrained. Laney continues to be a top blood producer and we are proud of that! Again I want to say thank you all! We saved a lot of lives yesterday!"

Laney has three blood drives a year and around 100 units are given each time.
