Jimmy Willis, a Senior at Laney, was one of eight NHC students recognized Saturday, March 18th at the first annual Wilmington's commission on African American History youth awards.
There were 30 nominations in all.
The ceremony was held at the Wilmington City Hall in the City Council Chambers.
