About Me

"Everybody is worth everything" --Maya Angelou

I have been a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist for over 20 years. I currently work with students in grades kindergarten through middle school at Alderman Elementary School and Noble Middle school. I received my Bachelor's degree in English Literature from Salem College and earned a Master's degree in Communication Disorders from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro. I am licensed by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), as well as the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology.

North Carolina has been my home since 1989, but I was born in Australia and have lived in Pennsylvania and New York City. One of my favorite activities is travelling with my family. We own a small camper and have driven across country four times, visiting many of the beautiful national parks along the way. I also enjoy exercising (running, swimming, yoga, walking, dancing), reading, watching movies, and gardening.
