I am so excited to be your child's first grade teacher!
First Grade is such a magical time in a child's life and I consider it an honor to be part of it!
Thank you for sharing your child with me!
Let me tell you a little bit about myself...
I graduated from UNCW with a Bachelor's degree in Education in May of 1994. Two months later, I got married to my husband, Brad, and over the next three years we welcomed three beautiful children into our lives. I taught 6th grade for one year and then became a stay-at-home mommy when my first child was born. I loved staying home with my children and would not have missed our time together for anything in the world, but I did miss teaching very much! I am so happy to have joined the Bradley Creek family 17 years ago and feel very blessed to be given the opportunity to do what I love each and every day!
My oldest son, Parker, graduated from Appalachian State and is a brewer at Wilmington Brewing Company. He and his wife, Leslee, have blessed us with three beautiful grandchildren, Emeri, Holland, and Boone. My middle son, Mason, graduated from UNC-Charlotte with a degree in marketing and then headed to Colorado and is thoroughly enjoying exploring the Rocky Mountains while working for Enterprise. My daughter, Gracie, graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a biomedical engineering degree and works for Precision Swiss in Leland. They are still the light of my life, but old enough now to share me with all my “first-grade children" at Bradley Creek.
Your child is special, rare, and unique! I want them to LOVE kindergarten and come away with positive memories for a lifetime! They should be happy and feel good about themselves and school. We want them to have a love of books and a desire to read for entertainment. To achieve these goals, we need the support and understanding of their parents. Please never hesitate to call or send us a note or email if you have ANY questions, concerns or feedback throughout the year.
I want this to be an extra FANTASTIC year in your child's life!
