Speech Language Pathologist
This is my 14th year working as a Speech-Language Pathologist and my first year in North Carolina. I moved here in July 2018 from Austin, TX and am excited to be a part of the New Hanover County Schools. I have worked with children my entire career in a variety of settings (outpatient clinic, home health, schools). I earned my Masters Degree in Communication Disorders from Nova Southeastern University in FL and my Undergraduate degree was in Elementary Education from Florida State University (Go Noles!). I worked as an Elementary School teacher for 5 years before pursuing a career in Speech. I hold a certificate in Clinical Competency from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and licensure with the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. I have a daughter that is in 4th grade and an energetic labrador puppy that keeps me busy when I am not at work!

The mission of the Speech-Language Program is to prepare students to effectively communicate within the educational setting, as well as to maximize individual communication potential through effective speech and language skills.
