Welcome to
Ms. Huntzinger's Kindergarten's
2016-2017 class!

Welcome to Kindergarten!
I am so excited to have the opportunity to work with both my parents and students this school year.
We have lots of fun and exciting things planned and I know everyone is going to love it!

I have my degree in both special education and elementary education, with a concentration in Language Arts.  I also recently received my masters degree in fine art photography.  I am happy to be back in Wilmington, NC where I both grew up and my family lives.  This is my 15th year teaching and I have worked with a variety of grade and ability levels throughout my career.  I started my teaching career at Trask Middle School, where I was a 6th grade teacher.  Throughout my time at Trask, I focused my teaching in the areas of Math and Science.  My desire to work with both special needs and elementary age children took my to Johnson Elementary.  At Johnson, I worked with both Kindergarten and Transitional Kindergarten.  This is where my love for Kindergarten began and I was happy to accept a job as a Kindergarten teacher here at Ogden five years ago.
This is a wonderful school and just in my short time I have had the opportunity to work with some amazing parents, students and staff.  I am thrilled to continue my journey this year with you!
