Meet the Teacher

Mrs. Shelly Sieck - 4th Grade NFV

I attended school at Elkader Central, graduating in 1978.
I graduated from the University of Dubuque in 1983, but attended Luther, Creighton, and the University of New Mexico before that.  I graduated with a major in Elementary Education, a minor in English and P.E., and my coaching degree.  While in college, I played both basketball and softball.  I coached at the elementary and high school level for several years, but have recently given up that part of my life.  I enjoy art, gardening, cooking, spending time with my family, and TEACHING, or course.

I started teaching here at North Fayette in the spring of 1987, and met and married my husband Don in 1990.  We live a couple of miles outside of Fayette on a farm, where we raise crops, cattle, and pigs.  We have four children:  Deric, Donnie, Britlyn, and Ramey.  We also have four granddaughter, Ella, Lauryn, Braylee and Alexandra (Lexi) and three grandsons Lucas, Kelby, Quentin.  Another grandchild is expected this fall.
I've taught for 37  years, but am presently teaching 4th for my eighth year.
