Grading Information

Grading, Etc.

* Report cards are distributed 4 times per year at the end of each grading quarter.

* There will be ILP (Individual Learning Plan) Conferences in the Fall and report card conferences at the end of each quarter. Parents are asked to attend Conferences in order to receive child’s report card. If you are unable to attend conferences to pick up a report card, please contact me so we can communicate in another way.

*If a student receives a score lower than 69, he or she will be given an opportunity to be reassessed. I will average the student’s original grade and new grade. The original grade will not be removed from Power School for our reference. We will also attach both assessments (original and reassessment) together to show progress in test folders.

*Students will be graded on the following scale:

-Practice (i.e. class work and homework)- 10% of Quarter Grade

-Formative Assessments (i.e. quizzes, entrance/exit tickets, review class work, mini projects)- 40% of Quarter Grade

-Summative Assessments (i.e. tests, projects)- 50% of Quarter Grade
