Summer Reading is for teachers too

For many of you, the first vacation errand you might take is to the book store or to browse through the Kindle store. Since we know "summer slide" can be real for teachers too, think about picking up an "ed" book now that you might have some time to actually think about your classroom and your own developing philosophy about education. I've put together a list of both classic and modern reads that offer up inspiration, classroom techniques or a deeper understanding about student learning. I've also included a link at the bottom to ASCD's Summer Reading list that is much more extensive and organized by particular interests. Whatever it is you choose to read this summer, your brain will be grateful.
