Mrs. Planansky

Welcome to fourth grade! I will be starting my fourth year at New Vision Charter School. The 2018-2019 school year begins my 11th year in education and my second year teaching fourth grade. Prior to this experience, I taught sixth grade science and social studies, fourth and fifth grade reading, third grade (for six years) and fifth grade science.

I graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and went on to earn my Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Northern Colorado with an emphasis in elementary education. I have served on just about  every committee offered within a school environment  including SAC, PBIS, and MTSS. I have also been a part of reading curriculum adoption groups and building leadership teams. I enjoy learning new ways to support student success! I am currently a member of our MTSS team here at New Vision.

Outside of school I enjoy all things coffee related, Shak Week, thrifting, traveling, reading great books and spending time with friends and family. I grew up in Portland, Oregon and still love the Pacific Northwest. I have been married to my husband, Tim, for ten years and we have a three year old little girl. This past March we adopted a puppy from Rocky Mountain Lab Rescue and he has kept us very busy.
