6204 1st Semester
This is the first of two courses that prepare students for immediate employment as an assistant greenhouse manager, or to further their academic career in horticulture. Course content blends hands-on skills with the theoretical science needed to successfully produce commercial plant products in our state-of-the-art greenhouse. Students will have direct experience in all facets of plant propagation (seed, cloning) and culture (soil, hydroponics). Sound business principles will be introduced, and the opportunity to practice them will be afforded by participation with the Newtown Greenery student-run enterprise.

6205 2nd Semester
This is the second of two courses, and affords students opportunity for extensive practical application of skills and theory required to manage a commercial greenhouse, by actually assuming that role in our state-of-the-art facility.
