The AP syllabus is the basis for this course. The material is a biochemical analysis of living organisms. Structural and functional relationships are stressed as well as adaptive and homeostatic mechanisms. Students are required to present seminar classes as well as complete extra reading assignments each marking period. In order to provide appropriate lab experiences, this course includes at least one double lab each cycle.
Prerequisite: Exemplary performance in Honors Chemistry and department approval.
Acceptance is dependent upon criteria available from department chair.
