Honors Full year
This course propels students’ learning in the fundamentals of atmospheric and space flight. As they explore the physics of flight, students bring the concepts to life by designing an airfoil, propulsion system, and rockets. They learn basic orbital mechanics using industry-standard software. They also explore robot systems through projects such as remotely operated vehicles.
Prerequisite: Successful completion of Introduction to Engineering Design or Principles of Engineering or department approval. Successful completion of Honors Algebra 2 (CPA Algebra 2 cannot be used as a prerequisite without Math/Science Department approval) and teacher recommendation.
NOTE: Introduction to Engineering Design is a course from Project Lead the Way This course is not approved by NCAA.
