North Carolina New Schools welcomes you to the 2014 North Carolina Student STEM Symposium.

Students who undertake research projects understand the importance of inquiry; they learn to pose meaningful questions, to access or collect relevant information, to synthesize knowledge and skills, and to communicate their thinking. The North Carolina Student STEM Symposium is a day-long event where students have the opportunity to share their challenges and successes with project-based learning and to learn from each other and from experts.

The 2014 North Carolina Student STEM Symposium is scheduled for Wednesday, April 2 at the McKimmon Center on the campus of NC State University in Raleigh. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided.

The intent of S3 is to support STEM attributes by giving students a forum to share their work. S3 provides an opportunity for STEM students to further refine their presentation skills with a less familiar yet friendly audience. learn more
