Partnerships

New Heights Middle School is proud to partner with the following organizations to offer unique opportunities that will enhance your child's academic experience.

Center for Supportive Schools

Play Study Win After School Program: The Play Study Win After School Program engages scholars in sports and recreational programs in addition to academic enrichment.  Some program activities include Judo, basketball, journalism, soccer, track, and step/cheerleading.

Google Apps for Education: Each New Heights Middle School scholar receives a Google account on the New Heights domain to collaborate with their teachers and peers on applications that include Google Docs, Sheets, and Presentations.

Urban Advantage: Standards-based partnership program designed to improve scholars’ understanding of scientific inquiry through collaborations between our school and science cultural institutions such as zoos, botanical gardens, museums, and science centers.

College Access for All: As a participating school, New Heights Middle School scholars will be empowered on their path to success and have the opportunity to visit a college campus.  The campus visit will be embedded in a broader set of scholar and parent workshops focused on planning for high school and college.

PENCIL Partnership- Snohetta: The program's partnership with Snohetta teaches participating scholars about careers in architecture and design; scholars meet people who use creativity, math, and science in their careers; and work on projects that solve real world problems.

NYU Dental Van: Scholars have the opportunity to receive a free dental cleaning as well as necessary follow up work.

Hellen Keller Foundation: Scholars have the opportunity to receive a free eye examination and glasses.

Science Technology Entry Program (STEP) at Medgar Evers: The program aims to increase the number of historically underrepresented and economically disadvantaged students prepared to enter college, and improve their participation rate in mathematics, science, technology, health related fields and the licensed professions.  STEP provides academic enrichment in science and mathematics content areas to scholars during Expanded Learning Time (ELT).
