The Records Section is a civilian support unit, which provides general record maintenance and data entry for the department. The department's records clerk is responsible for processing a multitude of crime reports, arrest reports, traffic accident reports, traffic citations and all other incident-related paperwork generated by the daily operations of the police department. The records clerk is also the agency's Maryland State Police UCR liaison, and is responsible for completing the monthly Uniform Crime Reports.
At present, we are now accepting requests for copies of incidents reports and accident reports.
Report request forms are now available online. Our Police Department could only release the report to the names involved in the accident and/or the insurer, please bring your identification with you. You can pay with a Money Order or Major Credit Card (Cash payment are not accepted and No Personal Checks) at the back of the Municipal Center at 6016 Princess Garden Parkway, New Carrollton, Maryland 20784- From 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday only.
Copies of Crime and/or Incident Reports dated before May 1st,2013, can be obtained from the Prince George's
County Police Department's Central Records Unit, located at 4923 43rd Avenue - Hyattsville, MD. 20781. Call 301-985-
3660 for additional information and directions.
