Hello, my name is Jennifer Facemire and I am a mathematics teacher at Newark High School. I started teaching here in August of 2000. For the first 10 years, I spent the majority of my teaching schedule teaching freshman Algebra and Geometry. For the past 10 years I have added in some upper level courses of Algebra II and Pre Calculus along with Transition Math. I am excited each year to see all of the new and returning faces and really enjoy getting to teach 9-12. It’s amazing to see the growth after 4 years.
I am originally from Republic, a small town in Seneca County in northwest Ohio. I graduated from Seneca East High School in 1995. I majored in Math with a minor in Spanish at Ashland University. I returned to Ashland to earn my teaching license in 2000 and my Master of Education in 2003.
I am married to Matt, a school psychologist with Newark City Schools and we have 2 children.
