Michael Fox, Director

The Crimson Sounds Marching Band begins rehearsal in late July and early August and performs at all home football games, selected intra/interstate festivals and parades and local events as determined by the director.  Emphasis is on musical performance and execution of marching techniques, both individually and as part of ensemble drill.  At the close of marching band season, the band will divide into two concert bands:  the Symphonic Band and the Wind Ensemble.

Symphonic Band is the second of two concert bands at the high school level.  Placement will be based on the musical ability level of each student as determined by audition.  Emphasis will be on the development of musical skills necessary to perform advanced instrumental music literature.  Participation in All District/State honor Band auditions in the fall and a solo/ensemble program in the spring for District/State Music Festival will be encouraged.  The band will perform in concerts at Christmas, in the spring, at Senior Sermon, State Music Festival, commencement, and at the discretion of the director.
