Welcome to the Clearwater-Orchard Mathematics Website for the courses under Miss Rebekah Kuhfal. I (Miss Kuhfal) will be the one behind this website, updating it with information for my four different courses.
This site is intended to serve as an aide to my students, along with showing what my four different classes are doing to help other teachers develop a plan and come up with creative new ideas for their classroom.
You can learn more about me, including my work towards a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction, with a concentration in Transitional Certification, on the About Me tab.
I will be following the Nebraska Department of Education (NDE) Mathematics Standards, and the Clearwater-Orchard Mathematics Curriculum. A link to the standards and a copy of the curriculum is located under the Curriculum tab.
This year Clearwater-Orchard is transitioning from the sequence of Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry (as done in previous years) to the new sequence Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2 (which is more common in local high schools). Due to this transition, I have four subjects, instead of five with no Algebra 2 class this year.
For my students, you will find the four different classes I teach at the top of this page. When you click on that page, you will be taken to a page that will continually be changing throughout the year. A Google Calendar will be on the page that will have the assignments listed along with vacation days. I will also include links on this page that may help explain a concept in a different way, or that have real life applications. This page is intended to be viewed weekly, and to keep you up to date with what is going on.
Parents can use this website to keep up with what is going on with your student, and the concepts we are learning. It is also a good place to find videos to assist your student if they ever have questions, or expand your knowledge of concepts.
Teachers can use this page to learn how I am teaching my courses, what hands-on learning I am doing, and how I have my classroom organized. This is intended to help you with your classes. I will be using a variety of resources to do this including other teachers websites and Pinterest.
