Food is not just about cooking and eating, it is much much more. Food is about an experience, it’s about creating memories. Sometimes all it takes is a smell of something familiar that triggers a memory, whether it be good or bad, maybe a special occasion or a good dining experience or maybe a memory of someone special in your life, past or present, the smell of fresh rosemary or freshly baked bread.

As Chefs, we need to not only think of serving great food with the very best produce but to think of the whole experience, the smell, the texture, the environment, the music and much more to create an experience that is going to trigger fond memories.

With a mixed group of students from all over the world Our Charity event 'Home Sweet Home' will bring together a story of our own culinary journey. A journey of our own childhood memories growing up in our home countries and coming together as one here in Nelson.

During the evening, you will experience some of our memories and hopefully create some memories of your own!

You will experience 4 small sharing/platter courses from different cultures representing the different student nationalities and their favorite memory of home. The Journey will take you to the other side of the world and begin in England where you will then head towards the mountains of Nepal, then winding your way through the hustle and bustle of the streets of China. We then end our journey for the night right here in sunny Nelson, New Zealand
