SOL testing is around the corner...so,
Our goals in 7th grade are simple: We will strive to create motivational activities to involve students in learning. We hope to provide an opportunity for each student to succeed and become a better citizen. We feel displaying responsibility and respect at school, home, and in the community makes for a secure, well rounded individual.
Respect yourself, other people, and property.
Come to school prepared with materials and display a pleasant attitude.
Be honest with yourself and others.
Language Arts classes concentrate on written and oral communication. Diagramming sentences, editing exercises, subject verb agreement as well as grammar are presented daily to help 7th graders prepare for the English part of the SOL test
READ AT HOME ! *** READ AT HOME! *** READ AT HOME This is the best practice for the SOL tests. 20 minutes a night!!!!!!!! Parents sign planners each night to verify students are reading...really reading, not with the TV on or while playing a video game...REALLY reading.
