We are currently in the process of reviewing and updating our website to be ADA Compliant.

Thank you for visiting the Nelson County Schools web site. The goal of our division and school web sites is to provide you with contact and other types of information that we hope you will find useful.

We have many reasons to be proud of our students and staff. Our students excel both in the classroom as well as in numerous extracurricular activities, including our Future Farmers of America teams, that consistently win state competitions and place high in national competitions, to our fine arts programs that display extraordinary talent and creativity.  We are also fortunate to have a committed and dedicated staff that provides the necessary leadership and guidance in order to develop and encourage our students to achieve success, whether it is in the classroom or in the competitive arena.

We are also very pleased that our school division has fully embraced 21st Century learning.  Currently, all of our students are exposed to one-to-one technological tools in the classrooms.  Students in grades 2-12 currently have access to Chromebooks, and students in grades K-1 have their own tablets. Technology is embedded in our learning environment and, without question, is helping to ensure our students have the skills needed for success in a highly technological and ever-changing world.

As always, we are looking to improve in all areas of our school operations. If you have suggestions or would like us to consider implementations that you think would help us improve, please feel free to contact me.  As always, I greatly appreciate your support of our school division.

GO GOVERNORS!

Jeff Comer, Ed. D.
