Nelson Middle School students raised $2,336.90 while participating in Hoops for Heart.  Through Hoops For Heart, kids learn basketball skills, learn about heart health, and raise money for the American Heart Association.  127 students participated in this year's event.  Top fundraisers were Destany Busick ($201), Katie Sprouse ($125), McKenzie Tyree ($111), Hannah Rogers ($110), Samantha Bryant ($98), and Steven Bryant ($95).  100% of proceeds go to the American Heart Association.  For more information, visit the official Hoops for Heart website.  Good work, Mustangs!
