Listed below are the SOLs each grade level will be taking and when they will be taken.
**Expedited retakes will be given on the following dates:
In the event a student misses an SOL test, as much as possible the test will be made up on the day of their return.
Monday--NMS Soccer at Home vs. Amherst Middle 4:30
Tuesday--NMS Soccer at Appomattox 5:00
Wednesday--NMS Track vs. Appomattox and CVCS 4:30;
Administrative Professional's Day
Thursday--NMS Track vs. Linkhorne and Rustburg @ Linkhorne 5:00;
Spring Band Concert @ 7pm
The two-part 8th grade Writing SOL will be held Tuesday, March 15th, and Thursday, March 17th.
Don't forget to get a good night's rest the night before the test, and make sure you eat a healthy, protein-rich breakfast the morning of the test!

**On March 1, Talent Show tryouts will be held. Students will need to report to the cafeteria at the end of the school day. The Talent Show will be held on Thursday, March 24th at 7pm in the auditorium. Come see what a talented bunch of students we have here at NMS!
**NMS Soccer Team tryouts will be held March 7th-9th after school. All participants must have a VHSL physical on file with the school nurse before trying out.
**Students interested in trying out for Outdoor Track should plan to stay after school beginning March 8th.
**March 11th, previously an early dismissal day, is now a regular school day. The end of the 3rd Nine Weeks has been changed to March 18th.
**Spring Break is March 28-April 1.
