NCPS Online Surplus Auction

NCPS will be auctioning surplus items during the month of November.  The auction opens November 1st and closes November 30th.

Seventh and eighth grade students and teachers are putting their new Chrome Books to good use in the classroom.  Stay tuned for announcements about allowing them to go home with students.

The NMS Library has 10 Kindles available for checkout.  Students and parents must first complete a permission slip which will be kept on file in the library for the year.  Please see Mrs. Beeler for a slip or with any questions.

The NMS Football game originally scheduled for Wednesday, September 30, at Buford Middle has been rescheduled for this Thursday at home.  Come out and support the Mustangs!

NMS Destination Imagination Team Makes Globals

The NMS Destination Imagination Team, "DI Immortales" has qualified to go to the top competition, Globals, in Knoxville, Tenn. May 20-24!

At the State DIVA Tournament at Spotswood High School on Saturday, the team came in second place out of 13 middle school teams in their team challenge, "Feary Tales". 

Then the team scored first out of 13 teams in the Instant Challenge; so their overall score was second out of the 13 teams.  The top two teams in each category qualify to go to Globals.

Be sure to congratulate these students when you see them: Sinead Nardi-White, Chloe Hellerman, Delaney Stone, Anna Dolleris, Jaylen Purvis, Jordan Maynard and former NMS student Katie Coleman.

Congratulations to our Destination Imagination (DI) and our FFA teams on exceptional performances in their competitions last week. 
  • The NMS DI team, "The Immortales" took 1st plage at the regional tournament on Saturday, receiving the highest score among 12 middle school teams in the "Feary Tales" challenge.  They will compete this Saturday, March 28, in the State DI Tournament.  The Immortales are: Jaylen Purvis, Sinead Nardi-White, Delaney Stone, Jordan Maynard, Anna Dolleris, Chloe Hellerman, and Katie Coleman.
  • The FFA Meats Judging team composed of Cody Adams, Delia Shepard, Kelsy Fitzgerald, and Elizabeth Sites placed 1st at States, while Victoria Saudners, Danielle Saunders, Stormy Sutherland-Wallace, and Sam Campbell placed 5th.  NMS FFA students also placed 4th in the Stockmans competition.
