My name is Ryan Sprott, and I grew up in West Texas. Afterwards, I attended Texas State University-San Marcos where I majored in English and Spanish. I have since earned a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction at Angelo State University and a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
I love to teach and have worked in educational settings ranging from pre-K to university levels where I’ve taught in rural, urban and international settings. Stemming from experiences as a learner and educator, I co-founded borderlandcollective.org, a social art project now housed at Texas State University. Education should be relevant, authentic, and engaging, and I’m excited to teach at a school like ISA which upholds these values.
When not teaching, I enjoy making music with my teacher friends in National Standard, playing basketball, and doing outdoor things like camping, biking and backpacking.
