Focus:  Portraits - begin playing with manipulating your images

Awareness
Photographers always take more than one image to get the best

Vocabulary:photo elements, digital photography, 

Reflection/Process:How did manipulating your portrait image change it and what it communicates?

Steps to creating your final portrait:

1. Choose the SETTING, POSE, CLOTHING, and OBJECTS to be in your photo
2. Check the settings on your camera (take the highest possible in case you want to print it)
3. Take the photograph (or have someone else take it)
4. Save you photograph to Picasa or some other web album (so that you can have easy access)
5. "Play" with manipulating the image using:
     - Adobe Photo Elements (the school version of Abobe Photoshop)
     - Paint
     - online photo editing software (Picasa'shas an editor)
     - other online editors: 
       PIXLR       And more... Read this list of ten and see what you like!      
      (note some may or may not be available because of the firewall)   


Monday: Load photograph, begin to manipulate "play"
Tuesday: Studio time
Wednesday: Studio time- blogs. Tag your post "Global Art", "Fine Art", portrait, artist. Credit the photographer that took your photograph.
Thursday: Studio time - 
Friday: Due at beginning of class - Warm and cool feedback comments
