Meet the Counselors

Hello!  My name is Nancy Goldstein.  I am the full time guidance counselor at Mitchell school. I am  a licensed independent clinical social worker who came to Mitchell School in the fall of 2006.

I have an undergraduate degree in psychology from Clark University and a Masters degree in Social Work from Simmons College.
Before coming to Mitchell, I worked for many years at a child and family community mental health center in Boston and in the Boston Public Schools. Actually, this has been my second involvement at Mitchell School. My first experience with the school was as a parent when my two children, now grown, were Mitchell students themselves!

This year, I will be joined by Katherine DeSousa, a 1st year Simmons Social Work graduate student.  Katherine has an undergraduate degree in psychology from UMass Amherst and has worked with students in the Amherst public schools and as a camp counselor in New York.
