The Guidance Department at Newman Elementary School is designed to increase student access to the curriculum by providing services to all students, parents, staff and the community. As school counselors it is our job to support your children and help them to be successful in the academic setting.  Explore our website to find new and useful ways to help your child be the best s/he can be!  If you have questions or concerns about your child's educational needs, please do not hesitate to contact us.

When home and school work together, we can accomplish so much more!

Who receives Guidance Support?

All students access guidance support through
school-wide guidance initiatives and/or referral
from teachers or parents.
Any classroom teacher, specialist or parent may
refer a student for more individualized guidance services.
A member of the guidance staff will meet with the student and establish a support plan or make a referral to an outside provider.
Parents, we are here to provide a listening ear
and to help assess your child's individual needs.
