Saying Goodbye...
It's hard to believe that our final days together have arrived. Each of your 3rd graders has brought unique talents, perspectives, kindness, humor, and enthusiasm to our classroom. Thank you for making this year such a wonderful adventure filled with learning, laughter, friendship, and growth.
I will miss them all this summer and hope to hear about their travels and adventures. In just five school days, they will officially become 4th graders. Congratulations!
Our Pen Pals from SWES will visit our classroom on Tuesday. Please send your child to school with a self-addressed, stamped envelope. We will exchange envelopes with our Pen Pals to encourage summer letter writing. Students may bring a lunch from home or buy lunch at school that day.
As we begin packing up for summer, please send in one or two sturdy shopping bags to help your child bring home materials from desks, lockers, and book bins. Thank you!
There is no school on Friday in observance of Juneteenth. Our last day of school is Monday, and it is an Early Dismissal Day.
This week we will:
"Plant" our Kindness Rocks (thank you to the Mitchell PTC for funding this special project!)
Meet our Pen Pals from SWES
Write letters to our future 4th grade teachers
Create a class Kahoot! game
Say goodbye to our Kindergarten Buddies
Create summer reading lists
Make a Top Ten List of 3rd Grade Memories for next year's students
Pack up our seat sacks, desks, book bins, and lockers
Reflect on our hopes and dreams from the beginning of the year
Prepare for the exciting transition to 4th grade
Spin the WOW spinner for more special surprises!
