AP (Advanced Placement) Information

Did you know that there are FREE AP TEST PREP programs online through each student's STUDY ISLAND ACCOUNT???  Students can access these programs at school as well as at home.

Northeast Bradford Offers Subjects of Advanced Placements Courses:
  1. AP English Literature & Composition
  2. AP Psychology
  3. AP Chemistry
  4. AP Statistics
  5. AP Environmental Science
  6.
At the end of each course, students are eligible to take the AP examination.  This exam is optional, although students are strongly encouraged to test.  AP exams are on set dates set forth by the College Board.  The calendar follows.  Students eligible for free or reduced lunch have tested at very little to no cost.  Sign-ups take place in early spring.  The cost per exam is around $92.  AP exams are scored on a scale of 1 - 5.  Most schools will give credit for an exam grade of 3 to 5 as credit for having had that particular college course, but each institution varies.

To ensure the rigor of our AP courses at Northeast Bradford, the Guidance Office submits updated AP course information to the College Board on a yearly basis.  In addition, all our AP courses have undergone an AP audit in which the course content was scrutinized by AP officials to ensure the quality of each course.  The school counselor proctors the exams on the scheduled dates.

*Additional AP courses are offered to identified gifted students through our eQUIP program.  For additional information see "Gifted & eQUIP Information."
