Op-ed in LA Times by Dr. Charles Camosy
A colleague has sent along to me this piece by Dr. Charles C. Camosy encouraging support for the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. Dr. Camosy is a graduate of Notre Dame and associate professor of Christian Ethics at Fordham University. As well as being a board member of Democrats for Life, he is the author of Beyond the Abortion Wars: A Way Forward for a New Generation. In this piece Dr. Camosy makes a case for including a range of measures including mandatory paid family leave in the proposed legislation. He offers this as a way to attract support of moderate democrats for this important legislation. I send it along for your information and consideration.
