Dollars and Sense at NC State

Welcome to Dollars and Sense at NC State!
Dollars and Sense at NC State is a financial wellness program committed to creating financially healthy NC State students.  We endeavor to address the financial concerns unique to college life as well as equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain lifelong financial wellness.
Here's how we do it:

Workshops/Classroom Presentations
We offer a selection of prepared presentations on a variety of personal finance topics.  You may use the slides to deliver your own presentation or you can schedule a Dollars and Sense volunteer to deliver a workshop to your student group/organization or your class.

Peer Financial Coaching
Our qualified group of peer mentors will explore your own financial health with you and help you understand basic financial principles that will help you make wise financial decisions now and in the future. Coaches most commonly provide assistance with spending, saving, budgeting, debt repayment, and credit.

NC State has partnered with SALT, a free, non-profit educational program that provides neutral advise, practical financial knowledge, and SALT Courses which are interactive lessons on a number of topics, including budgeting, saving, student loans, and other money related topics.
