To access Coverity Connect, go to http://vclv99-98.hpc.ncsu.edu:8080/reports.htm from a VCL reservation. Login with your Coverity username and password (the same username and password you use to run Coverity scans).
To view and export issues, click on the link to the project (module) you wish to examine, e.g. csc515_calculation.
You should be directed to a page similar to the one below, showing the results of any scans you performed on that module. The default report is the report of outstanding issues. This is a good report to use for the CSC515 project.
You can select individual alerts by clicking on them, to find more details on the specific issue found by the scan.
1. To change what issues you are looking at, click the gear icon near the top of the screen which says "Edit Settings" when you hover over it.
2. On the subsequent popup, scroll down to the "Issue Kind" section.
(1) Deselect "Quality" and "Test Validation" if necessary. Make sure "Security" IS selected.
(2) Then click "OK"
3. The report should now only show Security alerts
1. Click on the icon on the left-hand side of the menu that shows three horizontal bars and says "View Panel" when you hover over it.
2. In the panel that opens up, select the report you are using (Outstanding Issues), then click on the triangle next to the report.
3. Click "Export CSV".
4. This will initiate the file download. Follow your browser's prompts to complete the export.
