This is the first presentation of our 'Award Winner' speaker series. Carol Dollard was selected for the 2011 NCRES Award for Individual Achievement and she will be sharing some of the projects that she has been involved in that demonstrate that CSU is not just talking green but also making meaningful efforts to walk green as well.
Colorado State has accomplished much in the area of sustainability: six PV arrays including one of the largest solar systems on a university campus, eight LEED Gold buildings, and a woodchip biomass plant. But the real story is that the most notable achievements are probably the ones you don’t even know about. Carol Dollard will share some of those stories and including a discussion of Colorado State’s efforts toward achieving their goal of climate neutrality and what projects might be coming next.
Bio:Carol Dollard is an Energy Engineer in charge of energy efficiency and renewable energy programs for Colorado State University. Her background includes solar energy research and applications, energy and water conservation, green buildings, greenhouse gas accounting, and operation & maintenance of utility systems. Carol is a licensed Professional Engineer and a LEED AP.
