Level 5 behavior, call the main office right away, this is a safety issue. After the student has been removed follow the steps stated above. *Please remember if you have a student removed from your class, the Student Management Team needs the referral within 24 hours.
If a student is in the office the following process take place:
- Front office staff documents that the student has been sent to the office for behavior reasons.
- In Synergy the student is marked as In School Suspension (ISS) for that class period.
- Student Management Team calls home and inform the family that their student has been removed from class and they will be hearing from the classroom teacher to inform them of the details.
- Staff member writes a major referral.
- Staff member calls or makes contact home discussing the behavior of the student.
- Behavior Specialist will email staff members on Friday, if the Student Management Team has not received the major referral.
