New Britain EMS 40 Years of Service to the Community

As an organization committed to our mission inclusive of community recognition our duty goes beyond merely responding to 911 calls for service. One of the primary functions of our Professional Standards and Training Division is ongoing community outreach. Our programs aim to inform those we serve on the value of having a quality focused EMS agency serving the community as well as injury prevention.

In a time of rising healthcare costs, record high emergency department census, and stressed resources; education and prevention can address issues before they become an emergency. Through a proactive approach geared towards prevention of illness and injury it is our hope to empower our citizens and provide them with tools they need to address chronic health needs before they become a medical emergency. Additionally, we recognize the value in teaching them to recognize a medical emergency when presented with one and how to act to potentially save a life.
