Welcome to the Patrick Henry High School Naval Junior Reserves Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) website, home of the Patriot Battalion. The Mission of the program is to instill in students the value of citizenship, service to the United States, personal responsibility. and a sense of accomplishment.
 The high merits of the unit have been demonstrated through outstanding performances from the Color Guard, Armed/Unarmed Drill Teams, Armed/Unarmed Exhibition Teams, Athletic Teams, and of the Unit as a whole. The Patrick Henry High School NJROTC will continue to strive for excellence. 

The Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (NJROTC) is a leadership program designed to give students a head start.  Navy JROTC develops the self-discipline, self-confidence, and leadership skills to help you successfully meet life’s challenges.  People who are successful in life, who succeed in business, industry, and education, have developed strong self-discipline, the ability to lead and motivate others, and a well-rounded character.  The Navy JROTC curriculum and instructional activities are designed to develop your leadership ability regardless of your career path.

High School NJROTC does not have a military obligation

The purpose of the Navy JROTC program is to instill in High School students the values of citizenship, community, state, and Country. As well as personal responsibility, and a sense of accomplishment. Specific objectives include:

 To promote patriotism. 
 To develop informed and responsible citizens. 
 To promote habits of orderliness and precision and to develope respect for constituted authority. 
 To develop a high degree of personal honor, self reliance, individual discipline, and leadership. 
 To promote an understanding of basic elements and requirements for national security. 
 To develop leadership potential. 
 To provide incentives to live healthy and drug free lives. 


Educational Paths:
Assistance with ROTC Scholarships to 4 year Universities
Selection/application to Military Academies, leading to a Commission for a Military career as well, advice on enlisted military careers
