Drill Team



    The drill team participates in drill competitions. The team commander recruits, trains and commands members of the drill team, preparing them for and leading them at several local and regional drill competitions and exhibitions. There must be 16 members on a drill meet team.




ARMED AND UNARMED BASIC DRILL TEAMS

    Groups of highly dedicated Cadets interested in the sharpness and precision developed by close order drill and the Manual of Arms.  Cadets will perform a predetermined routine during competitions against other units and will also represent Hillgrove in parades, ceremonies, and other unit hosted events.

ARMED AND UNARMED EXHIBITION DRILL TEAMS

    Highly dedicated Cadets interested in developing and performing exhibition drill routines.  Teamwork, creativity, and precision are key to the success of these teams.  Cadets will perform routines during sanctioned drill meets, as well as during our annual inspection and other unit related events.

ATHLETICS TEAM

    The Athletic Team consists of a group of cadets that attend local and regional competitions. Competitions are typically a part of the Drill Meets.
 
    The four main components include the following:
    • Sit-ups
    • Push-ups
    • 8 x 220 Relay
    • 16 x 100 Relay
