Leader Sail

LeaderSail is an exciting and demanding leadership development program built around sail training and marine exploration. Developed by JROTC instructors, and specifically tailored to JROTC cadets from all services, this adventure of a lifetime has been structured to provide hands on leadership and seamanship training.

LeaderSail is a registered Branch of USNSA, headquartered in the British Virgin Islands. All the instructors at LeaderSail are JROTC instructors with significant sailing experience. The US Naval Sailing Association is responsible for all the sail training programs at various naval installations around the world.

Based in the British Virgin Islands, this program offers unparalleled sailing, snorkeling, and island exploration opportunities set in a tropical paradise. Sail the waters of Blackbeard the Pirate. Walk the beaches immortalized in Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island. Snorkel the fabled treasure caves. All this while learning to sail, and developing your leadership skills aboard 50 foot world class offshore sailing yachts.

In addition to sail training, students will have the opportunity to explore coral reefs and learn about the marine environment, while visiting the British and U.S. Virgin Islands as well as other Leeward island nations. Students will hike the beaches and mountains, explore salt water grottos and caves, and may participate in training with the British Virgin Island Search and Rescue or US Coast Guard.

On these trips you will work hard, but we promise you will play even harder. Are you ready to learn how to sail and develop your leadership skills? If so, this trip is for you.
