Bragging "Right"s 2017-18

This is a public site where NJROTC units can brag about cadets and the
projects they are working  on and the adventures they are having.
In other words, the things they are doing Right!!!

The Cadets of the SOL C Johnson NJRTOC volunteered their time and efforts on March 4th – 5th for the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) challenge walk.  The Cadets helped with event setup and were part of the cheering team that celebrated the “walkers” who participated in the event.  The MS Challenge walk was a 50 mile course over three days through the city of Savannah that included over 200 participants.  The Challenge walk is not only a fundraising event, it also helps bring awareness to a disease that continues to challenge many Americans.  They volunteered over 35 hours for the event!!!

C/ENS Erin Poblete has been selected to represent Fleming Island high school at Girls State in Tallahassee this spring of 2018.

Ten cadets from Ed White HS went to JEA for the annual Veteran's Day Celebration.  20% of the JEA Employees are veterans.  Every year JEA stops everything for a day and honors their veterans and the families of veterans for all they do.  Each year a Duval County School is selected to raise the flag to start the ceremony.  Councilman Reginald Brown was the Key Note Speaker and Ms. Deloris Quaranta of the Northeast Florida Women Veterans was the guest speaker.  The USMC brought in several armored vehicles, several K9 teams were present as well as a LOT of other support teams and groups (USO, VFW etc.).
