Article I – Election of Officers
1. Elections will be held annually at the beginning of each school year for the offices of:
· President
· Vice-President
· Secretary
· Treasurer
· Sergeant at Arms
2. Nominations of officers shall be made either in writing or from the floor. Voting shall be by secret ballot with revotes of leading candidates until a member receives a majority of the vote.
3. The term for each office is for the current school year.
4. Club reserves the right to remove from office any officer that is absent from three (3) meetings during the school year, fails to meet grade eligibility requirements, or displays incompetence in performing their duties.
Article II – Duties of Officers
IMPROV MEETINGS: [non-business. . . recruitment]) Tuesdays during 1st Lunch
REGULAR MEETINGS: Afterschool from 3-4pm on ______________________.
CABINET MEETINGS: (open to members) as needed
B: State procedures for calling regular and/or special meetings.
CABINET meetings can be called at any time by any member of the officers, or following a request by any Drama Club member and vote in REGULAR meetings. Such meetings will be business only, and will require a Ratification vote in the REGULAR Meeting unless the Regular Meeting gave them a “Carte Blanche” in advance. (no money may be spent in this manner without full vote in REGULAR meetings.)
REGULAR MEETINGS will be weekly and extra or replacement regular meetings may be called due to rallies or finals as needed after a vote by the full membership in a REGULAR meeting.
IMPROV meetings are non-business and may be changed at will.
Article IV – Finances
All monies raised within Drama Club are for the perpetuation of the Drama Club’s ability to produce plays and musicals. Unlike other such accounts, the monies raised in a given year under the amount of $15,000 are for the production of plays and musicals the following year and the ASB account will “roll-over.” It is easily possible for a single musical to cost the Club more than $10,000 to produce. Any monies over $15,000 must be spent by the membership in the year in which it is raised (for example on a field trip to see a show). This amount may be revised by the membership.
Except as above, all IHS procedures will be followed as required.
Article V - Parliamentary Authority
In all matters not specifically covered by these by-laws, the parliamentary authority shall be “Robert’s Rules of Order.”
Article VI - Amendments
These bylaws may be amended by majority vote of the members in good standing at any regular or special meeting of the club at which a quorum is present and is subject to approval by an administrator of Inderkum High School.
