Welcome to our Friendly Fish SchoolAbout the Teachers
Mrs. Riannon:  This is my 11th year teaching at Nativity.  I started my career in Mortgage Banking for eight years, but found my true love of working with children when my children started preschool at Nativity.  My husband and I have two children ages 15 and 12.  We stay very busy traveling to our sons cross country meets and our daughters soccer games.  We also have two dogs that keep us moving!  I love to spend time outside with my family hiking, camping, biking and running.  Looking forward to a great year with your children!

Mrs. Mandy: :  My husband Eric and I are both native to the Asheville area, but have lived most of our marriage of eleven years in Fletcher.  Six and a half years ago we had our daughter Bella.  Our family loves being outdoors!  We enjoy camping, hiking and biking as a family!  We have a kitty cat named Indy and hopeful to add a new puppy to our family soon! I am very excited to have the opportunity to help your little ones this year!  This will be my first year at Nativity on staff!  I have an associate’s degree as a physical therapist assistant and had worked at Park Ridge Hospital for 15 years until last May.  Although, most of my career has been geared toward working with adults, I have taught pre-school aged children at church and substituted here at Nativity and Around the Son when needed.  I fell in love with Nativity when my little one started here at Nativity in the Friendly Fish class at age three.  Mrs. Riannon and Mrs. Emily were amazing together and Bella loved being here!  I feel so honored and blessed to get the chance to work with your kids and with Mrs. Riannon.  It’s going to be an amazing year!
Classroom Philosophy

The preschool stage of development is a period of rapid growth and learning.  With the proper encouragement and guidance, young children are able to start developing the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to succeed in school and beyond.  Our focus is on building a strong foundation for success by helping our students to grow intellectually, socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.  We feel that this growth can best be accomplished in a relaxed and caring environment that respects the child’s individuality and natural ability to learn.
