On March 28, 2017, the MBSA approved Ai3, the first choice, as the architect for the Kennedy Building Project. We are appreciative of the MSBA for their work with us.
We have worked with Ai3 in the past on the Wilson Middle School and Natick High School building projects. Both projects finished on time and under budget. We are pleased to be working Ai3, as we know this project will be nothing short of an outstanding success.
For information on the possible site options for Kennedy, we encourage you to review the attached Kennedy Middle School - Possible Site Options document.
We are currently in the Designer Selection Process.

Three members from the Town sit on the Designer Selection Committee at MSBA:
Designer Panel convenes at MSBA and narrows applicants to three. At this meeting, a decision can be made to select an architect. If not a second meeting will be established to interview a short list of firms.
Next milestone – Site Selection
We are proud to announce—after vetting proposals submitted—Compass Project Management was unanimously selected to oversee the feasibility study and schematic design’s as the Owner’s Project Manager (OPM.)
Looking ahead, the next phase in this building project will be selecting an architect, which we expect to happen in January 2017.
We appreciate your support and look forward to providing more updates in the new year.
The District will begin the OPM and Designer Selection procurement process. The Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) offered the following dates as an outline that correlate with the January 9, 2017 OPM Review Panel Meeting.
Please note that these dates are not set in stone and may be subject to change.
