Principal's Welcome

My name is Michelle Arneson and I am honored to be the principal at N-P Intermediate.  This is my first year in the Nashua-Plainfield School District.  I also serve as Elementary Principal and District Curriculum Coordinator.  My goal is to have all students achieving at high levels in a safe, positive, and supportive 21st century learning environment.

N-P Intermediate Building serves students in 5th and 6th grade.  The building is located in the town of Plainfield, Iowa  We have 20 staff members that serve approximately 105 students.  Our small class sizes ensure that each student receives individualized support.    Additionally, we offer guidance, music, art, TAG, health services, technology instruction, library, PE and band.

It is important to our faculty to teach more than academics.  Therefore, we are implementing Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS) through out the building.  The foundation of PBIS calls for direct teaching of behavior expectations in a proactive and positive manner.  REACT is the acronym for our behavior expectations. (CHANGE TO C2??)

Thank you for visiting our website and your interest in our educational program.  I welcome your input on ways we can improve communication, teaching and learning in our building.

Together We Can…Together We Will!
