10.25.2025 WIAA SECTIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
On another beautiful day for a cross country meet, Watertown headed to Meadow Links Golf Course in Manitowoc for the WIAA Sectional Championships. The Goslings ran well, achieving another five season or personal bests. The boys team placed fourth and the girls team finished ninth. Congratulations to Christian Maas (11th place) for running the 8th fastest junior boys time in WHS history. Shout out also goes out to Joseph Mudler (5th fastest freshman in WHS history) and Matthias Unertl (14th fastest freshman in WHS history) for jumping up the school's freshman boys honor roll.
Congratulations also goes out to seniors Riley Runke, Kylie Tripp, and Ryan Tobin for running their final cross country race as Goslings. Thank you for running for the team over the past four years and for your positive impact on this year's team.
10.23.2025 JV STATE INVITATIONAL
Junior varsity runners traveled to Mitchell Park in Brookfield for the JV State Invite. It was a beautiful day for a cross country race and the Goslings had 11 personal and season bests. Congratulations to all the Goslings on great performances and shout out to Willard Belisle for his second place finish in the boys fast race, running a PR time by dropping 1 minute 43 seconds!
10.18.2025 BADGER LARGE CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Goslings traveled to Baraboo High School for the Badger Large Conference Cross Country Championships. Both teams ran well as the boys team placed third and the girls team placed seventh. Congratulations to Christian Maas and Brogan Schwegel for earning 1st and 2nd Team All-Conference Honors respectively. Congratulations to Matthias Unertl on running a time that now places him 19th on the Freshman Class Honor Roll.
10.09.2025 SHOREWOOD INVITATIONAL
On a beautiful day for a cross country meet, Watertown ran numerous personal and season bests to have one of our best meets of the season at the Shorewood Invitational. Congratulations to medalists Christian Maas (16th), Brogan Schwegel (22nd), and Joseph Mudler (23rd).
Congratulations also go out to these student-athletes for there additions to the class honor rolls: Christian Maas (17th on junior boys list), Riley Runke (14th on senior girls list), Gwendolyn Schneekloth (20th on sophomore girls list), Alaina Mertens (23rd on sophomore girls list), and Madalyn Bischoff (9th on the freshman list).
10.02.2025 FOND DU LAC INVITATIONAL
During homecoming week, the Goslings raced at the Fond du Lac Invitational on Thursday, October 2nd. Despite the unusually warm temperatures for an early October race, the Goslings competed well finishing 2nd on the boys side and 7th in the girls competition. Congratulations to medalists Christian Maas, 9th in the varsity race, and to Zechariah Repp and Peter Mitchell for finishing 2nd and 6th respectively in the junior varsity race.
There were another 10 personal records or season bests. There were also three additions to the Class Honor Rolls as freshman Joseph Mudler jumped to 6th on the freshman class list, junior Christian Maas raced to 17th on the junior class list, and Riley Runke PR'd to climb to 21st on the senior class list. Congratulations Goslings on a job well done!
09.20.2025 MUSKEGO WARRIOR INVITATIONAL
The Goslings traveled to Lake Denoon Middle School for the Muskego Warrior Invitational. The boys team placed 5th and the girls team finished 16th. There were another 13 personal records or season bests. We also had two medalists. Christian Maas finished 14th in the varsity race and Andre Leija placed 4th in the junior varsity race. There were also two additions to our school's Class Honor Rolls as Joseph Mudler and Madalyn Bischoff ran the 15th and 16th fastest 5K times for freshmen in our school history. Congratulations Goslings on a solid week of training and a very good meet!
09.12.2025 MUKWONAGO INVITATIONAL
It was a much warmer afternoon as the Goslings competed at the Mukwonago Invitational. Despite the temperatures, the Goslings competed well. Results are available. The boys team finished 5th and the girls team placed 13th. We had another 17 personal bests or season bests. Congratulations to Christian Maas for earning medalist honors with his 20th place finish in the varsity race and to Quin Engle and Andre Leija for their medalist and ribbon honors in the junior varsity race.
09.06.2025 VERONA INVITATIONAL
On a beautiful early September morning for racing, the Goslings competed well at the Verona Invitational. Results are available. There were 22 season and personal bests. Congratulations to Christian Maas for earning medalist honors with his 38th place finish.
08.30.2025 GLENN HEROLD INVITATIONAL
With very favorable weather conditions for a cross country meet in late August, Watertown held the 29th Annual Glenn Herold Invitational on Saturday, August 30th at Watertown High School. Results are available. The boys team placed 7th and the girls team finished 10th. Congratulations to medalists Christian Maas (17th) and Clayton Fliess (29th).
Every returning Gosling improved their season-opening performance at the Glenn Herold compared to 2024. That is exciting to see. We look forward to building on those success throughout the season.
