About the Teacher...

My name is Nicole Alfano and I am so excited to be your child's PreK4 teacher here at St. Theresa School!

I started my college career as a music education major, with my concentration on voice/opera and clarinet. After student teaching, I realized how much I love teaching younger children. After graduating, I went back to school to become a certified elementary teacher. Ever since then, I have been happy teaching Pre-K4. I taught for 7 years at St. Rose of Lima Academy in Short Hills and this is now my 5th year teaching at St. Theresa School. (How time flies!) My son Hudson also attends St. Theresa school and he has been part of this wonderful school community since he was 9 weeks old. (He is now entering 2nd grade.) We love our school very much. :)

In my classroom your child will learn a lot and make new friends!  I teach the curriculum through weekly themes and we will also be studying one letter of the alphabet per week. We will be doing lots of religion, handwriting, singing, STEM projects, and learning center time as well....

I believe in open communication with parents and providing an environment that is happy, safe, and conducive to learning. I will be sending home my weekly newsletter once per week so that you can reinforce and discuss what your child is learning here at school. I will also send home reminders for classroom events, school events, projects, and holiday celebrations. I encourage you to e-mail me or send me a note in the communication folders any time! I am here for any questions and concerns that may arise. Nicole.alfano@mysts.org
