INTRODUCTION: What will our students need in the twenty first century? How can we best prepare them to meet the needs of a global economy - to solidify our nation’s future in a world class economic culture? At present, it is paramount that we educate our students differently and the impetus to help us plan for the future lies within the School Improvement processes. In order to demonstrate authentic school improvement, goals must be set within a generative, ongoing process that compels all the educators to be communicating, learning and collaborating. The demonstration of school improvement in the twenty-first century will not be isolated to the final product of a school improvement plan, but its benefits will be most realized through the process of its development. Toward this end, the pathway to marked improvement embodies fluid goals and strategies. On this journey, we now embark.
